Omg. My day was absolutely made when I came back from work and see all the snowflake cookies in my inbox. Thank you everyone so so so much! I rarely ever tell you guys how awesome you are, and how grateful I am to even KNOW you, so really. Thank you. It made me feel awesome. :D <33333

Adam from Mythbusters linked this on his twitter, and I cannot stop watching it and completely losing it every single time. Seriously. TEARS.

WHAT DO YOU SAY WE MAKE APPLEJUICE, AND FAX IT TO EACH OTHER.

Guuuys, I just completed my third to last shift at Starbucks. I really really can't believe it. IT'S ALL HAPPENING SO FAST. I really can't even go into every mixed feeling I'm having, otherwise I'll be writing another novel post. But it's been really really awesome, telling my regulars and them giving me hugs and congratulations and well wishes. Aww gosh.

Okay, self, you are not allowed to get super stressed and have PANIC ATTACKS. Paper will be finished, things will be packed, super difficult written exams will somehow excruciatingly be done, and by Wednesday night I'll be sleeping in my bed at home. Okay. I can do this. I CAN DO THIS.

ETA: Oh oh, and [info]enablelove, I got your card! Thank you so so much! :D <3333

SOOOooo I've been awake since 4am and I had one, ONE shot of espresso at 7am this morning and I'm still slightly buzzed. This is why I don't drink caffeine. Let's not even TALK about iced coffee (which has way WAY more caffeine than espresso - fun fact!); I'm sure even if I drank a 12oz size I'd be in the hospital for possible heart attack.

ANYWAY. I kind of want to do this meme-age thing.

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. (:

tl;dr! )

SO, my roommate, the boy, has finally finished watching every episode of SPN to date. I was really so curious to hear a boy vs girl reaction to this show. He is super super in to the storyline, saying he never gave a crap about angels and demons before, but we spent a good 20 minutes looking up angels on Wikipedia together, haha. He thinks Castiel is a badass. He likes the myth-arc related episodes a lot more. I asked him if he teared up just a LITTLE during 5.10 and he was like, "Um... no? I mean, it was sad, but...." YEAH, WHATEVS. He sent me texts sometimes like, "Oh God razors out of his mouth whyyy" (Halloween episode last season), and "Everytime I pass Dean Rd I think of spn... see what you've done!" Two nights ago he said he watch the last half of season 4 all in one night, and it was like, 5:30 in the morning and he finished Lucifer Rising and was like, "...fffuuuucckk," and HAD to download 5.01 right away, haha! So yes. Boys and Supernatural. There you have it.

So, yes! I'm back. Been back since Saturday but have been busy. Vacation was so so so lovely and very needed. I love the north Geogia/North Carolina area more than anywhere else in the world (so far), and moving there and permanently settling there eventually is definitely my goal.

ANYWHO, here I come to bore you to death with pictures of mountains and trees and STUFF.

Wee! )

SO SO, last night I went out drinking with some coworkers and a few other people. Two Yuenglings down and I was asking people for things to drink to so I could quickly finish my third. Anthony Bourdain, Ewan McGregor, corn chips, you know. So I'm finally on my last sip, and I asked for a really good one. The guy who I sort-of-kind-of have a crush on goes, "How about to the finest weed in the Southfarthing?" Cue me going all high-pitched and demanding I clink glasses with him. Heeeeeee.

I'M HOME! But not for long - in a couple hours we'll be setting out to drive up to Blairsville, Georgia, where we'll be staying at a swanky cabin in the mountains thanks to my aunt and uncle who "know people." Holy crap am I excited. HIKING WILL HAPPEN. AND ACTUAL COLD WEATHER. But no internets, which is somewhat distressing, but as I said before hopefully my sister and I will be able to go into town and find a nice little coffee shop or something. There will be many pictures when I get back, 'cause I'm a crazy. But for now, a shower and a couple hours of sleeps. K BYE. <3

From last night )

I got so much done today YAY. Finished my creative project, dropped it off on campus, took my Shakespeare test and did the discussion post, AND got a haircut. It looks awesome and little shorter and I love it. Getting a haircut is such an ego boost, hee, because it NEVER fails, whoever's doing my hair will always be like, "Your hair is gorgeous! WAIT, THIS BLONDE IS NATURAL?? ALKDSJFALSDJLAS" and seriously will go on and on about it, heeee. Yay for little ego boosts!

Okay. Tonight, start my paper, tomorrow work 8:30 to 4, finish paper tomorrow night, open at work on Sunday, pack clothes AND some of the stuff I'm going to start moving home somewhere all in this, and be home by dinnertime on Sunday afternoon. And then, GEORGIA. YES? YES.

(Also also for those who don't follow me on twitter, my boy roommate finally asked to borrow SPN season 1 from me on Wednesday. Today he finished Dead Man's Blood and hasn't seen the final two yet. I told him he'd better get a change of pants ready. Maybe I'll just withhold Season 2 from him until I get back just for funsies. >:D)

Pretty much I am putting out the open invitation for visiting/staying with me if any of y'all want to go see the new Harry Potter world at Islands of Adventure that opens this coming spring. I MEAN, JUST LOOK AT THAT GALLERY. HOLY CRAP. Hogsmeade! The Three Broomsticks!! They're actually going to sell butterbeer and pumpkin juice! OLLIVANDERS!! CAN WE GET OUR OWN WAND? AND EVEN THE HOGWARTS CASTLE. They're revamping the Dueling Dragons rollercoaster (which is alsdkfjas;lj so fast and AWESOME) to match the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I haven't been excited about Harry Potter in a while, but THIS!!! ALKDFJASLJ I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS.

(Also we can totally go visit the actual dolphin named Jensen at Sea World I'M JUST SAYING OK.)

And speaking of Jensen, I loved it so much I had to make it my background. EPIC SIGH.

Skipping my first class, mostly because I accidentally woke up an noon and because I have a headache as big as Jared's manboobs pecs. Which is to say, rather large.

A list of things I am really, REALLY REALLY looking forward to:

- In 5 days (Nov. 22-28) I'll be leaving for a week to drive up to north GEORGIA with my family to a swanky cabin!! COLD WEATHER AND MOUNTAINS AND HIKING. The only downside is there is no internet there! NOOOES. Me and my sister shared a look and said, We'll be going into town to find internets, then. But still, AUGH SO EXCITED.

- In 22 days (Dec 9) I will be leaving this freaking apartment and Orlando and Starbucks and my undergraduate studies FOR GOOD. There will be crying from joy. I'm serious. My dad is coming over to help me move all my stuff the day after my last exam and last day of work.

- In 31 days (Dec 18) I am officially graduating college. I got my commencement guide by email a few days ago and I got REALLY SUPER NERVOUS all of a sudden! Idk! Walking across a stage! In front of thousands of people! WAT.

- I honestly don't care too much about Christmas gifts this year, because being able to move back home is seriously the greatest gift ever. (I KNOW, CHEESY.) Buuuut I'm still asking for these or these because SEXAAYYYY.

- And in 7 to 8 months? I am driving from Tampa, Florida to Salt Lake City, Utah to move in with my bestest BFF [info]idril_telrunya. ASLDKFJALSJ!! I kill myself just thinking about the shenanigans. BECAUSE THERE WILL BE SHENANIGANS.

SIGH. That should get me through the week. That and rewatching the Chicago Con vids. I STILL CAN'T GET OVER THE LAUGHING TOGETHER THING HAHAHAS;DLKS. UGH BOYS. ♥

ETA: Ooh, me likey!

the happy-making meme.

make me happy!

Re: tonight's upcoming episode )

Also, while I'm being all srs business, I need to talk about the Chicago Con for a sec. So obviously with Jensen's engagement and Jared's supposed engagement (pardon while I lol), pretty much this Con is probably going to be the Perfect Storm for Cray Cray's. Dear flist, let me be so abrasive as to ask you to please please please PLEASE do these two things for me:

1) Wait for conformation. Since we aren't there, we are relying on LJ posts and tweets to get all the info we can. But the last few Cons there were some issues between opinion and truth, and rumors being spread. Especially now with something so instantaneous as Twitter, people can post whatever they want and have that tweet spread far and wide within minutes. So probably the best idea? Wait for a mass confirmation and/or follow a good friend/someone you know who is reliable. Otherwise, you know, shit gets spread like a VD. THREE CHEERS FOR NOT BEING IN HIGH SCHOOL ANYMORE, RITE?? and that brings me to...

2) For the love of God, if any ~DRAMA~ DOES go down? I do not want to know about it. At all. I'm serious. Please please please put it behind a cut. I really want to feel that ignorance is bliss for me, if something does happen. So. Yeah. THANKS.

Umm. With all that said and done, OMG TODAY. GUYS, IT'S 58 DEGREES OUT RIGHT NOW. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME? NO, YOU DON'T BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIVE IN FLORIDA. It was beautiful today, ugh ugh ugh, I LOVED IT. MORE OF THAT, PLEASE.

No trick or treaters but thaaaat's okay 'cause we're going over to my old roommate's place to watch Hocus Pocus and stuff our faces with candy!! AND it's Daylight Savings tonight so even through I have to get up at 5:30 for work, I get an extra hour. Win all around.

(HAHAHkfk;lafjeowjaw;flke omfg I can't even)

Man, I wish I was dressing up and going out to a party again tonight even though I went to one: last week and: last night, but still. Oh well. Gotta be up at 5:30 tomorrow anyway.

I FINALLY FOUND A COPY OF THE NEW FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS CD. And of course, I pass it on to you.

Flight of the Conchords - I Told You I Was Freaky

Seriously, download. I love so much "Too Many Dicks [on the Dance Floor]" (Make sure you know, before you go / The dance floor bro hoe ratio), "Angels" (There are angels in the clouds, doin' it), and "Sugalumps" (All these bitches checkin' out my britches / Put 'em in a trance when I wear track pants). ♥

And since it's Halloween, some Halloween-y type music too, I guess:

Christopher Lennertz - I am the Douchebag Played in the SPN S4 gag reel, and it's DARK and BROODING and PERFECT for those people named Criss Angel and AWESOME.

Alan Parsons Project - The Raven 70's rock AND Edgar Allen Poe? So so so good. I have listened to this song obsessively since I was, no lie, about four years old. On a record player, no less. :D

Sigur Ros - Sigur Ros The whole album of Von is creepy, gloomy, atmospheric, and pretty much downright weird. But in a good way. This song sounds like it could be played through a haunted house, or something.

Okay. Finish paper today so I can go have Sunday dinner tomorrow with my aunt and uncle. Sounds like a plan.

In a slump, again. Same crap, different day. I hate Orlando, I hate this weather, I am so over school (I've honestly, completely checked out at this point), just got another raise at work, making my grand total - after working with the company for more than 3 years - still under $8.75 an hour, I hate getting up so early, etc etc. Almost done. I know. But. It's been really hard, lately.

I've got pretty bad problems with my sciatic nerve hurting a lot, and at work a couple days ago I was asking around for some ibuprofen or anything. My coworker comes back with a bottle and shakes out two blue pills (Blue? I say to myself) and I took them. Yeeep. They were Tylenol PMs. My coworker was like, are you okay? And I was all, I THINK I'M STONED. NO, WAIT, I THINK SHE GAVE ME ROOFIES. Ahaha. I had no idea they were Tylenol PMs until a lot later, haha. V. BAD FOR AN 8 HOUR SHIFT, just in case you were wondering.

There was a Halloween party Saturday night! )

10pm! Bedtime! Fml!

My friends are so freaking awesome, or, SONJAAAAAA!!! )

A while back I got a letter from UCF and, long story short, they wanted me to come in to talk to an adviser because APPARENTLY I was going to be one class (three credits) short for my upper division level English classes. I was putting it off and putting it off but TODAY I got another letter and THEY ARE WAIVING THAT LAST CLASS SO I CAN GRADUATE. So, wow, WOW, CRISIS VERY NEARLY AVERTED.

This weekend a cold front went through so the weather has been absolutely beautiful. FINALLY. It actually feels like autumn!

Also? I am on my last seven weeks of living in Orlando, my last seven weeks of being an undergrad, and my last seven weeks of working at Starbucks. Holy crap am I excited.

This is what happens at Starbucks when you're not there. People attempt to contort themselves into milk fridges, close them, and then scare the shit out of other coworkers when they open said fridge. So awesome.

AND THEN, a whole bunch of us went to see ZOMBIELAND THIS AFTERNOON. OH YOU GUYS. SO GOOD. SOOO GOOOOD. I would gladly see that again another 8 million times. The whole time I kept thinking 1) Dean Winchester would get a boner watching this and 2) how can I crossover this with Croatoan-esque "The End" goodness. IF I DON'T, SOMEONE MUST. MUST. But yeah. So good. I never truly appreciated how many ways there are to kill a zombie.

I'm all checked in for my flight! I leave Orlando at 9:10, get into Minneapolis (lol Minnesota) at 11:30, leave Minneapolis at 1:30 (ughhh layovers; still, the price of this ticket was AWESOME, so) and arrive in Denver at 2:40! If you want/need my number, comment or direct message me on my twitter!

Now I'm off to go pick up boots (if they fit, I hope!) from a coworker! SNOW SNOW SNOW OMFG SNOOOOW. SEE Y'ALL ON THE FLIP SIDE.

I have very, very belatedly realized just how cold it will be in Denver.

Since, you know, snow is in the forecast and all for this five minutes anyway. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO, MY REALLY STUPID GLEE FACE, YOU WILL SEE IT. But omg, I WILL BE SO COLD. I don't own winter weather clothes! I have... some thin long sleeve shirts, jeans, a moderate jacket, and a heavy wool peacoat but omggg, I don't know if I can fit the last one in my carry-on suitcase. And it might be too... idk. DRESSY?? I don't know how cold weather outfits work! AND I DON'T OWN BOOTS. ;_; BUT, this girl from work whom I love and adore is going to bring me some stuff, including boots, to try on and borrow! So hopefully I'll be able to do something about that, 'cause guys, I will be a popsicle.

Speaking of weather, IF IT COULD STOP BEING 90+ DEGREES OUT THAT WOULD BE SUPER. I am tiiiired of being sweaty and gross every time I step foot outside. Ugh.

I had been noticing lately that my car has been sluggish to start, so I called my dad and he said it was most likely the battery. $109 later, yep, new battery. So now I'm in a little bit of a money conundrum, but I'm pretty sure I'll be okay until payday this Thursday and whatnot. I guess that this is a LOT better situation than last year when I was all hive-d out. Good times!

Alsooo, I went up to the ABC liquor store and APPARENTLY Djarums are being slowly outlawed in Florida. LAME. So they didn't have any. So ummm if anyone wouldn't mind picking me up a pack I will TOTALLY pay you back at Wincon!

Time to start packing!

:(

My parents came to visit me today but now they are gone. :(( But man, they are just so awesome. They brought me a COOLER-FULL of homemade food. I JUST. I WANTED TO CRY A LITTLE. Homemade beef stew, fresh bread, white rice and general tao chicken, and freaking HOMEMADE APPLE PIE. My dad just retired from work (for the second time) and was like, "YEAH, I WAS BORED SO I COOKED, SO WHAT." Omg I love them so much. ;_;

We went to Buca di Beppo (in the Florida Mall for all yous who've been to Eyecon, heee! AND HAHAHA I SAW A POSTER FOR THE TWILIGHT CONVENTION KENNY IS DOING. Oh God. If you thought we were kinda crazy? Have fun with those psychopants!) and had gnocchi, prosciutto chicken in pesto sauce, and baked rigatoni. I had a foodgasm like you wouldn't believe.

I really should be working on my paper but I need some cheering up so I'm on last night's FFAF post on ONTD. Because there is links to stuff like this that make me laugh so hard I cry.

Before flying out on Thursday I need to: rent my cap and gown for graduation (!!!!), finish my paper, schedule final appointment with adviser, go to Old Navy to check out cheap cold weather clothes for Denver, pack suitcase, and pick up a pack of Djarums (even though I have no idea where to find them around here) because smoking those while drinking/socializing is my vice. ;_;

FFS, Starbucks.

If I wanted to pushpushpush selling something to a customer, and getting commission for it, I'd be in sales. But I don't, so I'm not. Me and a coworker asked nearly every freaking person who came into the store, and no, 99% did not want to buy VIA, the instant coffee. Oh, I'm sorry, ready brew. Can't say instant coffee. People get the wrong ideas. (But the kicker is, it tastes only 50% less shittier than regular instant coffee.)

I was on bar, making drinks, and this lady says, "Your VIA really really doesn't taste good." "Uh, okay," I say. "No really. It's not going to sell." Thanks asshole. I already know that. Please don't make my job harder, because that is my job. It's all about numbers. EVERYTHING is about numbers now. If our store doesn't sell x-number of packets of VIA, someone is, quite literally, being fired. Hey, it's not my fault your products aren't selling. And I know our regulars just loooove over-bearing baristas shoving this stuff in their faces. This is what I have to deal with tomorrow morning. Being with my manager and hearing her push this shit like it's brownies laced with the Good Stuff.

Plus, our new aprons are the same orange as Home Depot. So. Funtimes all around.

My care-level for schoolwork is, um. Rapidly descending into nonexistent. I want to feel bad about this, I do, but I'm too sick of it to be able to. I just want to be done. I just want to be out of here. It's like I've had this goal that I've been looking forward to for so long and I just can't seem to reach it. I know, two months. 70 days. But it honestly feels like it's never going to end.

...Hey! Tomorrow is Thursday. OhGod. I needed Thursdays back in my life. Like. A lot. I am really really REALLY excited. And then Saturday my parents are coming to visit and we're totally going to Buca di Beppo (aka holy crap never ever EVER going to Olive Garden again). And then next Thursday is DENVER! And the week after that I'm going home for my sister's birthday! So. Things. Fun things. Must concentrate on fun things.

Also, may I randomly add that there is this guy who comes into Starbucks who looks like a DEAD RINGER for Lucifer. I was looking down and was like, "Hey, what can I get-UH." But, he's German. And drinks a grande caramel macchiato. In case, you know, you ever need to appease Satan with caffeine, that's your best bet.
